STC Higher Education, founded in 1997, has grown to become one of the leading higher education providers in Malta, offering a wide range of courses and flexible learning programmes. Our state-of-the-art training facilities and partnerships with global leaders like NCC Education and the University of Wolverhampton in the UK, enable students to earn internationally accredited qualifications while studying locally. Our partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, a highly commended UK university, opens up direct progression routes to degrees in Business or Computing for our students. Business Management students can specialise in Marketing or Human Resources, while Computing students can choose between Cybersecurity and Computer Science.

The STC Story

The Past

The company was founded in 1997, with its first premises in Swatar, limits of Dingli. It was formerly known as the Government Computer Centre. Fourteen IT firms together with the Government of Malta agreed to set up a joint venture company having the mandate to establish an effective and profitable centre of training excellence that would offer whole-life continuation training in the development of IT skills.

NCC Education

5 months later we signed up with NCC Education, global provider of British Education providing affordable degrees and master’s in Business and IT. A unique and flexible approach to providing the International Degree Pathway allows students to enter or leave their degree journey at their own pace and receive a certificate for their achievements at each stage

First Students

We accepted our first intake of students in Dingli in 1997.

The Move

In July 2006 the company relocated to a more central, accessible location in Pembroke in order to better serve its ever-increasing student numbers. The move heralded a new era for the organisation in an area designated by government for the development of educational institutions.

Partnership with Middlesex University

2009

In 2009 we set up a partnership with Middlesex University, enabling participants to obtain internationally accredited qualifications by studying locally.

Partnership with the University of Wolverhampton

STC Higher Education is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Wolverhampton, a highly commended university in the UK. This provides STC students, who start their journey at STC studying for an NCC Education diploma in Business or Computing, with direct progression routes to degrees under one roof. This partnership opens up a number of new opportunities for students who are located in Malta and are interested in pursuing a degree in Business or Computing. Students who opt for a Business Management degree can opt to specialize in Marketing or Human Resources. The Computing degrees offer students the possibility to choose between Cybersecurity or Computer Science.
